Nursing & Health Services Research Guide

Did you know that you have access to thousands of electronic books (eBooks) from the library? eBooks related to nursing, such as the ones featured below, are available to check out and read online! You can search for them either in OneSearch or the database eBooks Collection (EBSCOhost).

To search for e-books in the library, you have several options:

Searching OneSearch

1. The library's homepage has a box that says OneSearch.
2. Using this box you can search on the topic of your choice.
3. You can search by keyword, author, or title.
4. Once you enter your search terms, select Search,
5. The results screen will come up and will contain many different types of results (books, e-books, and articles).
6. You can narrow down the results to just e-books.
   1. To narrow down results to just e-books, on the left hand-side of the results screen - under Publication Type - Select eBooks.
   2. You will now only get results that are e-books.
   3. To access the e-book just click on the title of the e-book.

Searching the Library Catalog

1. Click on the link that says FSU Catalog
2. Once in the catalog, click on the Advanced Search link at the top of the page.
3. Type in your keyword for what you are searching for.
4. Under Format, select E-Books.
5. Click the Search button.
6. You will now have a list of E-Books that the library has available.
7. Click on the Find It button to access the e-book electronically. 

** If you are off-campus, you will need to log-in using your barcode and last name to access e-books.
