The Library is the best place to go to get information for your academic work and learn how to be an informed consumer of information.  Explore this guide to learn what services the Library offers and how to navigate it.

Getting Help from a Research Librarian

Research Librarians are available to help you with your research.  In addition to being available at the Library's main desk on the third floor, they are also available to work with you in other ways.

The Ask A Librarian Page provides:

  • Hours when librarians are available at the main desk,
  • Link for online chat with a librarian,
  • Link for submitting a question to a librarian 
  • Research librarian email address (
  • Links and search box for Frequently Asked Questions.

Subject and Course Guides

Course and Subject Guides are customized pages (such as this ORIE guide) to provide information about specific resources to help you in your research.  You can find these guides under Quick Links on the library's home page.
