This collection contains photographs of public officials and local businesses and events throughout Western Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania between the 1950's and 1980's for Potomac Valley Television/TCI (formerly based in Cumberland, MD.). The digitized photos were donated to Frostburg State University in 2023 by Albert and Angela Feldstein. Though most of these businesses are no longer around, the FSU Digital Repository record contains (when possible) street addresses or coordinates that link to where they once were via Google Maps.
This collection contains digitized Kodak slides and photographic prints of local businesses, landmarks, and advertisements spanning from the late 19th century to 2020. Mel Collins (an avocational local historian and prolific editorial columnist for the Cumberland Times-News) donated these materials from his work for the Preservation Society and public education on local historical buildings from the 1970s-2006.
This collection contains hundreds of postcards displaying images from Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia and correspondence by Western Marylanders and tourists to the area from the early 20th century. These items were digitized in spring of 2024 and are still being added to FSUDR.
