Council of the Alleghenies CollectionThe Council of the Alleghenies, a non-profit organization, was founded to “preserve, develop, and share the rich and meaningful traditions, folklore, history and human values and resources of the Allegheny Highlands.” The Council of the Alleghenies Collection contains the administrative records (1964-2014) of Council officers. Materials include legal documents, administrative and financial records, correspondence, agendas and minutes of Board of Directors meetings. The collection also documents the Council’s many activities (1964-2015), which include conferences and lecture series, tours of historic and heritage sites, and dinners.
