Print and audio visual materials can be placed on Course Reserve by request of FSU faculty for use by their classes. Reserve materials are kept behind the Main Desk and cataloged by the instructor's last name and course name/number. Students may access materials on Course Reserve by asking for the item at the Main Desk and checking it out with their FSU ID card.
Most Course Reserve items are for in-library use only, meaning they cannot leave the building. Loan periods range from 2 hours to 3 days depending on the instructor's designation.
Fines are charged for all overdue Course Reserve materials at the rate of $2.50 per day. Lost items have a $60.00 per item replacement cost.
Overdue fines not satisfied within 30 days of the date of the first fine notice will be sent to the FSU Office of University & Student Billing for collection, and an additional $15.00 service charge is typically assessed by their office.
Prior to being sent to the FSU Office of University & Student Billing, fines may be paid at the Library's Main Desk by cash or check. The Library does not accept credit card payments, foreign checks, or money orders.
Fines and fees may be paid at the Library's Main Desk during regular open hours. Please see the Library Hours webpage for a complete listing of the Library's hours.
Checks should be made payable to Frostburg State University.
Checks may also be remitted by mail to the Lewis J. Ort Library, 1 Susan Eisel Drive, Frostburg State University, Frostburg, MD 21532.
