Requesting Resources

Requesting Sources Not Available in the Library

The FSU Ort Library may not have access to all the resources you need and not everything is available for free online. There are two ways to request sources you are not able to find as full text in SearchCat or the library databases.

  • Interlibrary Loan: Request resources, especially research articles not available as full text in SearchCat or the library research databases
  • Request From Another Institution: Request a print book you find in SearchCat from another University System of Maryland library if it is not located in the FSU Ort Library.

Requesting Resources with Interlibrary Loan

About Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) lets you request resources, especially full-text research articles, that are not available through the FSU Ort Library's collections or databases. You can request these sources you find through the yellow Find It button in the individual databases. Interlibrary Loan is not fully operational yet through the new library search tool SearchCat, but there are simple workarounds for that!
